In September of 1999, we took a once in a lifetime vacation in Mexico to the La Casa Que Canta, site where the movie "When a Man Loves a Woman" was filmed. The room was beautiful with a magnificant view and our own private pool. We had no television or Internet access for a week. The service was outstanding and we soon became very spoiled. We've had some great vacations in the past to places such as Maui and Isla Mujeres, Mexico but nothing compared to the La Cas Que Canta. This 24 room hotel is nestled in a cove off a cliff and extends downward to the beach.

This is the entrance to our room and yes that is our private pool at the bottom of the stairs. A cool dip in the pool on a hot muggy day is well worth the extra pesos!
This was the only way out of our room to the pool, restaurant or shopping. We admit this was just about the extent of our exercise each day!
